The bandage with absorbent pad for safe haemostasis
BETAFIX
BETAFIX is an elastic fistula bandage with a non-adherent high absorption pad composed of two layers separated by a waterproof film. It is mounted on a pad to ensure tightness.
BETAFIX has been specifically designed for compressive haemostasis of the needle insertion points at the end of dialysis and to contain exudate at the end of an intravenous treatment or transfusion.
The benefit of using this elastic fistula bandage is that it reduces the risk of bleeding buy exerting continuous compression on the needle holes, creating a protective barrier against infection and through graduated compression, promotes the preservation of the vascular access. BETAFIX also contains a non-adherent biocompatible layer, which means that it adheres less to the insertion point and allows atraumatic and residue-free removal.
